Mademoiselle DC Cat
Hello cat !
What is your Country ?
USA
Since when have you been making dolls ?
I believe since 2002...approximately 4 years
How did you discover the world of the dolls and the pixel art?:
I wanted to customize the Yahoo messenger I once used for communication (it used to be that one can change the "skin" of the interface for this program), so I taught myself to make graphics for it. I decided to make a Yahoo skin using my daughter's picture and some of her favorite things. At that time, she loved playing with dolls. So I did a general search on the internet for "doll graphics" that I may use for the Yahoo skin. My search resulted in drag and drop dolls, and before I knew it, I challenged myself to make my own "dolls."
What gives you the desire for creating your own dolls ?:
The drag and drop dolls were not very cute to me, so I would edit them and customize them to my own taste. Then I discovered doll "bases" and saw the many beautiful dolls other artists were creating. I felt I could make something lovely, too. I have always enjoyed drawing and creating. I knew that with my imagination and determination I could produce some (hopefully) original, beautiful artwork of my own
How did your integration in the doll community went? Did you immediately went to the forums ?
Everyone in the community was very friendly and encouraging to me when I began. They would leave the kindest messages for me through my website. I was not very "involved" in the beginning. But soon enough, I warmed up to all the amicable dollers and I joined a forum. It was a wonderful experience, all the members were like a little family. I have some nice memories of that
Which are your idoles (in the real life and on the Web) ?:
I cannot say that I actually "idolize" any one person. I respect and applaud anyone who strives to be the very best at what they love doing. I am fascinated by persons who are not afraid to be themself, and individuals who endeavor to achieve the dream they hold in their heart and make it a reality. Persons who pay little mind to other's "opinions," persons who love themself and are confident, and let nothing get in their way
Which dollers do you admire ?:
Well, I have not been in the "dolling scene" for some many months now...I am sure there is a huge, growing number of new, talented dollers entering the community today. I will have to take a look around and get back into it, and then decide if there is any one doller I admire. I am sure the decision would not be an easy one. :)
The dolls are for you: a simple leisure or a true passion ?:
Definitely a simple leisure. I think at one point in the past, I felt dolling was my true passion. But no longer, really. It would be, now, for me something I do for pure fun, to pass my time and relax.
Finally, could you choose 3 favorites dolls among your work ?

Thank you so much  !!
See you soon ;p
