Mademoiselle DC Len
Hello Len !
What is your Country ?
Venezuela
Since when have you been making dolls ?
Finishing 2003
How did you discover the world of the dolls and the pixel art?:
By Angy-chan´s Yumestudio website.
What gives you the desire for creating your own dolls ?:
When I discovered these in first time, I tried to make dolls but I found it very difficult because I didn´t know these graphics are made really pixel by pixel^^U. Later, I found the corean websites like Sayclub and Candybar and I totally fell in love with the pixelart. I started to visit more related websites and, little by little, I took interest to try it again, and, with very much effort, I made my first doll. I always thought "I´ll make dolls, but I´ll never do bases", because I never got enough inspiration and I didn´t have enough practice making pixelated graphics. A bit time later, I saw other dollers making their own personal/private doll bases, a lot of them totally beautiful but unavaliable for public use. This gave me curiosity to try making my own private base too, and then, I made my first one, in male and female versions. I named it "Len" (just
because my imagination was out to think a original name -_-U). I´ve made more doll bases since then, but my Len bases still continue being my very personal ones.
How did your integration in the doll community went? Did you immediately went to the forums ?
When I started to visit doll websites and make these, I discovered and joined different forums mostly to learn pixelart techniques and improve my skills. Some of these forums was El Palacio de las Pixelitas (a
spanish community, now closed :( ), Eden Enchanted, The Magic Circle, Pixel Case and some others. I´ve know a lot of wonderful and talented people in the doll community since then. Currently now I´m mostly
retired from the active community due to my illustration works.

The dolls are for you: a simple leisure or a true passion ?:
Well, in first place, the art in all ways is my big passion, mostly in graphic expressions :) . At this time, I´m retaking my artistic roots (CG and
illustration), and because of that I´ve stopped pixeling a bit from now, but I also love make dolls and pixelart and because of it I always try to do any of these whenever I can.
